Cinema operator Cineworld has launched a new online recruitment system aimed at improving the way the business manages its high-volume cinema recruitment.

Lesley Nash, managing director of online resourcing firm Changeworknow, says the system, developed with Changeworknow, attempts to streamline the application and recruitment process, while improving the quality of candidates and increase speed to hire.

Marie Daniels, head of organisational development and leadership at Cineworld, says: “We receive in excess of 1,000 applications per week to work in our cinemas. The administrative burden to sift, screen and manage each application needed to be addressed in a way that promotes and protects our consumer and employer brand.

“We also need to ensure recruiting managers within each of our 75 venues are sufficiently supported to make the best and right recruiting decisions.”
