Comensura has signed a three-year contract with the North Eastern Purchasing Organisation (NEPO) to operate and manage the supply of temporary agency workers for some of its local authority members . The contract will deliver guaranteed savings each year of 4% on NEPO’s participating authorities’ annual budget of £16m. The average saving across NEPO is estimated at 8%.
Councillor Allan, chairman of NEPO’s Joint Committee, says: “Not only does the Comensura system remove much of the time consuming administrative burden associated with temporary recruitment, it also provides management with much greater control of and visibility into recruitment spend.
“As it is a vendor neutral solution it has the added advantage of providing a much wider choice of candidates facilitating streamlined access of opportunity for local recruitment agencies.”
Mike Trevor, Commensura’s chief executive, says: “Our service will allow member organisations to reduce the time it takes to recruit temporary staff, improve the quality and fit of candidates, and simplify the administrative processes involved in order to deliver immediate direct and indirect cost savings.”
