Independent driver recruitment firm Contact Industrial has won a contract to supply drivers at the Manchester International Festival, the world’s first international festival of original new work and special events.

The festival covers the spectrum of performing arts, music, visual arts and popular culture, and runs from 2-19 July.

The contract calls for Contact Industrial to supply about 15 drivers over a 2-3 days.

Mike McIntyre, a director of Urmston-based Contact Industrial, told Recruiter: “It’s a huge compliment. We’ve shown that a small independent can compete against the majors.” He estimated that up to five other companies were competing for the contract.

McIntyre credited the win to teamwork, with five consultants at Contact contributing their energy and ideas. “I need to thank my staff,” he said.
