The North East Apprenticeship Company (NEAC) is to implement Innovate CV’s website to enable jobseekers to create multi-media CVs as part of their search for an apprenticeship.

Innovate CV requires candidates to input information creating an online CV for use on this and other websites, linking with candidates’ existing social networks to help secure jobs as the platform provides a functionality to share a CV on sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

The site also contains an onsite search engine which candidates can use to help find contacts to assist with their job search, while its career and training section of the website highlights any skills gaps and provides opportunities for candidates to enrol on online courses to fill the gaps.

Meanwhile, NEAC has signed up more than 150 companies in the past year and aims to create more than 1,000 new apprentice jobs in the next two years, particularly among small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
