Hospitality and leisure recruiter Berkeley Scott has been appointed exclusive global recruitment partner of the United Nations-backed Food For Thought programme.

The programme, an extension of the Green Earth Appeal and part of a network that has planted over 60m trees, promotes helping the environment by working with restaurateurs, allowing them to reduce the carbon footprint of their businesses without having to spend any money.

Mark Darby, managing director of Berkeley Scott, says: “Our clients and the professional people we place in management positions have CSR [corporate social responsibility] high on their agenda and this is a way we can work with the industry to ensure we are leading the way.
