Councils are increasingly seeking project managers and business analysts to oversee transformation programmes, according to Nicola Linkleter, executive director, public sector, Badenoch & Clark.

In Badenoch & Clark’s latest Talent Spotlight, Linkleter says: “Most councils have strong programme and change teams in place. However, they still require external private sector experts who have some recent public sector experience. Programme managers, PMOs, business analysts and project managers are all in demand.

“With many staff facing uncertainty in their roles, councils are investing in HR and legal professionals to ensure employees have access to accurate and informed advice.”
