StepStone has acquired Denmark's largest IT job portal, IT-Jobbank. StepStone Denmark already operates an e-recruitment sites, with over 250.000 user sessions a month advertising 2.300 job offers from almost 1,000 blue-chip companies, including Carlsberg and Novo Nordisk.
Jark Recruitment has been appointed by the Moto Group, the UK's biggest provider of motorway services, to supply a temporary workforce. Jark will place 70 staff in restaurants, shops and catering facilities in 15 Moto service stations throughout the UK in a contract that lasts until September. Jark says the contract has provided the ideal opportunity to use its newly opened Polish branch in Warsaw, from where all 70 English-speaking candidates will be chosen after pre-screenings and formal interviews.
Edinburgh-based Aim Recruitment has won a contract to source all franchisees for the Franchise Doctors. The businesses for which Aim will be finding franchisees include estate agency and interior design. Franchise Doctors is based in Cheshire.
Glasgow-based recruiter Rise has acquired corporate hospitality specialist Quality Link Recruitment for an undisclosed sum. Rise, which itself specialises in high volume temporary markets such as call centres, says the acquisition marks the first stage in a series of planned acquisitions and joint ventures which are to be funded by Charlotte Capital. Rise managing director Gregor Campbell told Recruiter: "Our next acquisition will most likely be in the industrial or commercial sectors." The terms of the deal mean Rise has purchased the trading assets of Quality Link. Its staff will be retained at its Edinburgh office, and the brand name will remain.
