Eight in 10 of over 55s never plan to change employers, according to research from talent consultancy Chiumento.

Eight in 10 of over 55s never plan to change employers, according to research from talent consultancy Chiumento.

The research also reveals a third of the workforce will be over 50 by 2020.

The report’s author, Ian Gooden, says: “With the demise of the default retirement age, employers urgently need to consider how they motivate the army of older workers planning to stay on for the long term. Older workers plan to stay where they are so it’s vital for employers to inspire them to deliver their best.”
