Online recruitment activity across the UK rose in May, according to the Monster Employment Index UK.
The hospitality and tourism and sales sectors registered the highest increases in UK online job demand throughout May.
Environment, architecture and urbanism was the only sector that saw fewer job opportunities last month.
White-collar roles saw an upsurge in online recruitment, with legislators, senior officials and managers, and professionals seeing particularly high levels of online job opportunities.
The South West saw continued high demand, and after a slight dip in April, workers in Wales saw more opportunities in May.
Alan Townsend, chief operating office of Monster UK and Ireland, says: “The Monster Employment Index showed a notable increase in May, recovering well from a dip in April.
“The outlook for sustained growth in online job opportunities over the coming months appears to be trending positive across all hiring regions.”
