Exclusive: Nurture People looks for new business partners
Following its formation in February, multi-sector recruiter Nurture People is looking for new businesses to join it.
Nurture People was created by the merger of Concept Staffing businesses and a number of niche recruiters. The new group comprises 17 businesses in four divisions – specialist services, emerging markets, public sector and commercial – and employs 150 staff in eight locations.
Nurture People chief executive Todd Grondona told Recruiter he is looking for other staffing businesses to join the group. “These could be individuals who are very successful, but don’t necessarily have the finance to set up their own business, or companies that have done well, but would like to be part of a larger organisation and just need the investment,” says Grondona.
Nurture People will take a stake in the businesses, but will allow them to maintain their own identity, and do their own advertising and branding. “We are not looking to change the way they are run,” he says. “We would look for any business that we invest in to break-even after nine to 12 months,” he adds.
Prior to a stock market flotation, set for September 2012, Grondona is looking for three further acquisitions, with life sciences and IT staffing businesses likely sectors.
Grondona says he expects two-thirds of expected growth to come from existing companies.
