Eximius parts company with jailed Pillinger
Multi-sector recruiter Eximius group has parted company with director Stefan Pillinger (left) due to recent events that do not uphold the “core values” of the business, according to director Nick Stevens.
The BBC reported last week that Pillinger was jailed for nine months, following an incident at a City pub in which he threw glasses at bar staff after the word ‘gay’ was scrawled on his credit card. The company director admitted unlawful wounding and actual bodily harm.
In a statement on the firm’s website, the company said co-directors Nick and Ed Stevens will cover Pillinger’s role on an interim basis.
Stevens told Recruiter: “Today is a sad day for Stefan, his family, the business and for many of our team personally. However, integrity, trust and professional conduct are a core part of the culture of Eximius Group and recent events do not uphold those values. We have therefore decided to part company with Stefan over the weekend. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.
“Plans for Eximius are unchanged. We are extremely excited about the performance of the business and continue to expect to achieve high growth in all our core markets during 2011. We will be making a number of announcements in the coming days and weeks to increase and re-organise our leadership in light of these events.”
