Specialist insurance and actuarial recruiter The Emerald Group has responded to increased demand in the Far East by taking on three new staff.

Steve Stubbings, managing director of The Emerald Group, told Recruiter  there was an increasing need for experienced insurance and actuarial staff in Hong Kong, Singapore and China.

“The big push for Insolvency 2, a global insurance standard, has boosted demand in the Far East as companies look to recruit senior staff from the UK,” says Stubbings.

“A lot of people who had originally come from the Far East to the UK were now returning there to take advantage of the opportunities,” he says.

The three extra staff are based at The Emerald Group’s offices in Basingstoke from where it services the Far East market.
