G4S secure in sharing its candidates

The head of resourcing at G4S, one of the world’s largest private employers, is exploring the possibility of collaborating with other employers to help jobseekers.
Colin Minto told Recruiter: “We don’t own candidates, we only own the candidate once we employ them. I am not precious about collaborating with other organisations.”
Minto said his aspiration was to work with organisations that shared G4S’s culture and its focus on the candidate experience. “If we can help them [candidates] into employment, not necessarily with us, for example, when we don’t have a job that is immediately suitable, what a wonderful thing to do and what a great experience for the candidate.”
He said it was “a tick in the box” for G4S’s employer brand, if after visiting G4S’s career website and receiving advice on their job search, a jobseeker then went on to find work even for “a major competitor”.
“For me that’s a win because we have touched their lives, so when we do have a suitable job they are going to think kindly of us,” Minto added.
