More than half of Gen Y employees seek to leave their job within 12 months, according to new research from motivation solutions provider Sodexo Motivation Solutions.

More than half of Gen Y employees seek to leave their job within 12 months, according to new research from motivation solutions provider Sodexo Motivation Solutions.

The data also reveals that only 5% of this generation regard working for a call centre as exciting and 55% see such a career in a negative light. Moreover, a third of those surveyed seeking work would rather claim unemployment benefits than work in a call centre.

However, a quarter saw flexible benefits as a key reason for considering a career in call centres with 43% naming flexible working as the single most attractive benefit.
