IT recruiter The Gibbs Partnership has merged with Strategic Staffing Solutions to capitalise on international business.

Farida Gibbs, managing director of The Gibbs Partnership, told Recruiter:

“They started looking at building an operation in the UK because a lot of their customers had operations here. The customers I have here in the UK also have operations in the US and I found my team was working 24/7 to service both sides of the business.”

Gibbs says the partnership, GibbsS3, had given the company a  “great opportunity in a difficult climate” and that it is already working with several new customers.

No money changed hands during the deal, which has led to The Gibbs Partnership taking on several new staff.

The Gibbs Partnership grew by 39% in 2008 with revenues of £2.2m, while Strategic Staffing Solutions had sales in excess of $160m (£116m).
