Goldteam fishes out Furminger from HR

Karen Furminger, former HR manager of importer, processor and wholesaler of fresh fish and seafood firm New England Seafood, has joined Goldteam Recruitment as general manager.

Furminger previously occupied HR roles at Tesco, including training manager and store personnel manager.

Commenting on her appointment, Furminger said: “I had been looking for a new challenge and having audited Goldteam as a recruitment supplier on many occasions, I just couldn’t fault them - so I decided to join the team.”

Managing director of Goldteam, Naveed Ahmed, added: “Karen’s HR experience will be invaluable to Goldteam. Her insight into what HR functions are looking for from a recruitment supplier will help us to improve our service even more.”

 

Professional services firm KPMG has appointed Rachel Campbell as its global head of people, performance and culture (PPC). The current head of people for KPMG Europe, Campbell will work with KPMG member firms to drive KPMG’s ‘Employer of Choice’ strategy globally.

 

Marine crane and lifting services firm Sparrows Offshore Services has appointed Louise MacKenzie as human resources manager for Europe and West Africa. Based in Aberdeen, MacKenzie will lead a team of six HR staff responsible for delivering a full HR service to the Europe and West Africa business areas covering recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation & benefits management.

 

Sarah Hegarty is the new human resources director at Park PlazaHotels & Resorts, Westminster Bridge. The former head of training and development at Guoman Hotels has also previously worked at Thistle Hotels as group training & development manager.

Head of executive resourcing Ross Crook has extended his responsibilities at Barclays Bank to include the UK retail bank and GRCB (global retail and commercial banking) centre, following the departure of former head of resourcing and talent Samantha Davenport.

Executive search firm Transearch International has appointed Souvik Chakraborty and Gaurav Seth to its Mumbai and New Delhi offices respectively. Chakraborty leads the India technology practice, while Seth leads the retail and financial services practices, and business process outsourcing practice.
