GPW tries to score for players

Multi-sector recruiter GPW Recruitment, based in St Helens in Merseyside, North-West England, has launched a new division - Rugby League Recruitment.

According to the company, the new division places current rugby league players into day release work placements with local firms to help them gain experience and work out what they want to do once their rugby league careers have come to an end.

The aim is that players who have finished their career in rugby league will be placed into full-time work. Rugby League Recruitment is also working with St Helens College to organise short training courses for the players to work on basic skills such as numeracy, presentation and basic computer skills.
