Half of British workers are stressed within a day of returning to work after their holiday, according to new Monster research.

Half of British workers are stressed within a day of returning to work after their holiday, according to new Monster research.

The research also shows that 50% are stressed the minute they return to work, 29% within the first few weeks, 15% do not get stressed and 6% after three months.


Jenny Ungless, career coach at Monster.co.uk, says: “It’s sad that so many of us don’t feel relaxed and rejuvenated after holidays – after all, we go away to have a break and come back refreshed.

“Being stressed again almost as soon as we’re back isn’t necessarily a bad reflection on our jobs – we do have to put in work to ensure that we get the best out of our time off, both mentally and physically.”
