Multi-sector recruiter Hays has entered the 2009 Global Corporate Challenge (GCC), in support of the largest employer health initiative in the world.

The GCC challenge ensures that each Hays team member record their daily efforts on a specially provided pedometer during 125 days of intense walking, with milestones projected onto a virtual map with the option of interacting with citizens of each country, while learning about their customs. 

Charles Logan, managing director at Hays, says: “Hays takes the health and wellbeing of its staff very seriously and so we thought this would be an engaging and fun way to do our bit and encourage our staff to participate. I’m not entirely sure how far we’ll get on our globe-trotting adventure but we’ll certainly give it our best shot and hopefully shed a few pounds in the process.”
