Medical staffing specialist HCL has been named as a preferred supplier to NHS South Central (also known as Pro-Cure), the procurement hub covering 27 NHS Trusts in the region.
The agreement applies to HCL brands. These are: Orion, HCL Temp-Aid and HCL Medical Technical, for the supply of nurses and theatre staff; HCL Healthcare, for the supply of allied health professionals and health science services; and HCL Thames Medics, for the supply of locum doctors.
The HCL brands are among a select number of agencies able to operate in the region, contracted to supply staff to all Trusts from Milton Keynes down to Southampton on the South coast.
Meanwhile, Mo Dedat has stepped down as an executive director at the medical staffing specialist.
The firm says Dedat will step down from the company’s board with immediate effect, but will remain in his full-time role as chief operating officer.
Chairman Peter Sullivan says: “It is important to restructure the board to introduce new and independent talent. Mo’s in-depth knowledge of the medical recruitment marketplace means his contribution is very important to HCL and I am pleased that, while he has stepped down from the board, he will remain in his operational role and be fully engaged in taking the business forward.”
