International headhunter Heidrick & Struggles has been chosen by Yahoo to replace outgoing chief executive Jerry Yang.

According to the Financial Times, internet search engine giant Yahoo has asked John Thompson, one of the IT industry’s top headhunters, to undertake the search.  Thompson was responsible for headhunting Eric Schmidt to run Google.
