Hospital applicants not up to scratch, says Irvine
13 September 2012
The director of HR and training at a London private hospital has criticised the standard of some applicants.
Gillian Irvine, director of HR & training at London Clinic, told Recruiter: “We do have people applying for jobs but they are just not of the quality that we need. That is a problem.
“When you come to advertising, the type of people responding to adverts — the standard is not there. It is very difficult to appoint somebody. We have to advertise several times in order to get a person that will match the standard we require.
“It’s not just nursing standards. It’s written work, it’s attitudes, behaviours — all sorts of thing.”
