Barkers Group, part of BNB Recruitment Solutions, has announced that with immediate effect Robert Bain (pictured) will relinquish his role as chief executive of Barkers and assume the role of chairman of the Barkers Group and its board.

It has also announced that John Tarrant, the current chief operating officer of the Barkers Group, will assume the role of chief executive.

Bain says: “The Barkers Group of companies is at an exciting stage in its development, moving rapidly to becoming a truly integrated resourcing and communications business. Our shareholders are committed to ensuring the Barkers Group realises its full potential. I look forward to working with my fellow directors to assist Barkers’ development.”

Tarrant adds: “The increasing rate of change in the markets in which we operate creates a huge amount of potential for an agile, intelligent and customer focused organisation like ours. The ‘what’ we do will inevitably change – i.e. less reactive advertising but a lot more strategic branding, communications and digital work, integrated with resourcing solutions – but the ‘how’ we do it, through great people providing great service to great clients, will remain unaltered. There are a lot more people out there talking very positively about Barkers and TCS. We’re going to make sure that we keep giving them lots to talk about.”
