The demand for staff with Japanese language skills has increased four fold in the financial services sector, according to multilingual staffing specialist Euro London Appointments.

The firm says it has registered four times more vacancies requiring Japanese speakers in Q3 of 2010 than during the first two quarters.

Managing director David Shacklock says: “As businesses slowly but surely recover from the global financial crisis, and with the strength of the Yen encouraging more companies to invest in Europe, we are seeing a lot of companies in the financial services sector beginning to hire again.

“We are seeing a demand for client facing roles, a clear indication that this sector is recovering. The roles we are recruiting for are very much determined by the stability of the market, to see so many positions coming our way in the financial services sector is only good news”.
