LogicMelon offers ATA a mouthwatering platform

ATA Recruitment, which specialises in the engineering, construction, rail, defence, aerospace and energy sectors, has become one of the first users of Optimal Internet’s LogicMelon multi-posting platform. Optimal Internet developed a new website for ATA in the summer. The addition of a multi-posting and applicant tracking platform is part of its strategy to offer an enhanced service to clients which goes beyond web development services and search engine optimisation.
ATA is no stranger to multi-posting having been a Conkers and subsequently a Broadbean user. Samantha Powell, ATA marketing manager, said initial feedback from consultants on the new platform has been positive and they particularly like the CV preview tool. She told Recruiter that LogicMelon has been set up so that information such as where a candidate came from and the quality of a candidate is logged automatically.
“We don’t have to ask consultants to consciously monitor quality because we can access live stats to do this for us,” she said. She explained that they have also developed a stamping system that marks applicants with this information, which can then be read by its in-house system. “So we can track the applicant through from LogicMelon onto our own database,” she said.
ATA uses a mix of 12 niche and generalist job boards, as well as social media channels, and Optimal Internet is in the process of setting up a feed to Twitter. Powell believes that the intelligence provided by LogicMelon will help the company make more informed spending decisions and in turn increase the job boards’ accountability.
LogicMelon: offering business intelligence
She said ATA recently decided against renewing a contract with a major job board because of information gleaned from the system. “Year-on-year the board had imposed contract rises but, when we actually drilled down into the stats, we realised that although we got the volume of candidates through from the site, the quality wasn’t there,” she said, adding that this ended a five-year relationship with the board.
Bruce Stander, group chief executive of Optimal Internet, told Recruiter that more functionality will be added to the LogicMelon platform in the coming months and the company is looking at more segmentation of data so users can drill down “to the finest detail”.
“We want to offer clients more quantitative analysis and business intelligence to help them secure a return on investment form their job posting,” he said.
