Logistics recruiters have welcomed the opening of a dedicated training centre in the Tees Valley.
Logistics recruiters have welcomed the opening of a dedicated training centre in the Tees Valley.
The academy, based at Middlesbrough College, will provide a single point of support for employers in the freight, logistics and transport sectors.
Karen Drewett, managing consultant at Supply Chain Search & Selection, told Recruiter: “We see a lot of people who have degrees in supply chain, but not in logistics and distribution and operations. That will hopefully benefit the candidates.”
Nichola Jones, head of recruitment at Triangle Recruitment, adds: “I can see its benefits. There is always a benefit to encourage people to go into logistics and get the support that they need in the industry. It is always useful to have that educational support.”
