Robert Walters finds only 31% of businesses reward overtime
More than two-thirds of employees around the world fail to get any recognition for working overtime, according to research by Robert Walters.
It found that only 11% of employers offer overtime pay. Other popular forms of overtime payment include awarding time ‘in lieu’ (9%) and career progression. Just 1% of bosses offer gifts as a thank you to hardworking employees in the form of dinner or theatre vouchers, according to the poll.
It found that 69% of employers don’t recognise overtime.
