Lunch most popular time for jobseeking_2
UK workers spend their lunchtime searching for a new job, according to the latest monthly figures from Norfolk jobs website www.justjobsnorfolk.co.uk.
The site gets more hits at lunchtime, between 1pm and 2pm, than at any other time of day. The middle of the week was also highlighted as a prime time for job-hunting, when attacks of the mid-week blues force the number of site visitors to notable highs on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Those looking for pastures new also dedicate plenty of time to this jobseeking activity, with the website registering almost 90% of visitors fully making use of the thousands of job ads that have been posted, averaging 10 page views per visit.
Russell Evans, co-founder of justjobsnorfolk.co.uk, says: “The website has always strived to be much more than just a job-board. As well as matching strong candidates with their ideal jobs on a daily basis, the site also offers recruitment information, tips, advice and support for those in the local area. These latest findings are particularly significant to Norfolk since they help us to understand the job seeking market even better - information we can pass on to both loyal users and potential businesses hoping to maximise their chances of finding the most suitable new recruit.”
