LV= casts net further with new recruitment campaign

LV=’s new recruitment advertising campaign is seeking candidates from outside insurance as well as within the sector, according to the insurance, investment and pensions group’s head of resourcing

LV=’s new recruitment advertising campaign is seeking candidates from outside insurance as well as within the sector, according to the insurance, investment and pensions group’s head of resourcing and development, Stuart Affleck.

The poster and taxi campaign, appearing at more than 150 sites in Croydon, Bristol and Exeter at bus stops, tram stops, outdoor sites, and on taxis, aims to recruit staff across the LV= office network. Most of those recruited will work in LV=’s general insurance division in Bournemouth, Bristol, Croydon and Huddersfield.

The campaign includes five different poster designs each featuring accounts from different LV= employees, including customer service representatives and team leaders from the general insurance business, plus people from life product sales, IT and finance.

Jobseekers are invited to take a photo of the poster with their mobile phone and send the image to LV= via MMS or email, using short code 67777, adding the keyword ‘LV’. Using image recognition software LV= will then identify which employee was on the poster, and make a pre-recorded call to the jobseeker in which that actual employee says what they do at LV= and what it’s like to work there.

The campaign is supported by traditional outdoor media, print and online advertising, social media campaigns on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Linked-In as well as the LV= careers site www.LV.com/careers.

Affleck says: “Our general insurance operation is a particular hotspot for growth. We are not only looking for people with previous experience in this field, but also those looking to move into general insurance from other careers.”
