International recruiter Manpower has been awarded a license for permanent employment services by the Hanoi People Committee, making Manpower the first 100% foreign-invested employment services company to enter Vietnam.
The permanent licence follows Manpower’s award of a Vietnamese licence as an outplacement and human resources firm and the opening of Manpower’s first Vietnam branch in Hanoi in January 2008.
Jeffrey A. Joerres, chairman and chief executive at Manpower, says: “It’s an honour to be the first global organisation awarded this privilege - a key role fueling the growth of Vietnam’s actively evolving labor market.
“Offering a more robust workforce solution in Vietnam - and across the Asia-Pacific - is a key part of our growth strategy, allowing us to better help our clients increase their productivity and win in the changing world of work.”
