Marketing software provider HubSpot says it will “hire aggressively in sales, marketing, account management and support” as it looks to fill 150 newly-created jobs over three years in a new support centre in Dublin, due to open in January next year.

This is according to the company’s website, in which it describes Dublin as “like the Silicon Valley of Europe – it's home to the EMEA headquarters of companies like Google, Facebook, Salesforce and LinkedIn. It's a city with a lot of innovative energy, and we're delighted to be part of it”.

Adds JD Sherman, chief operating officer of HubSpot: “There are about 600,000 US marketers, but millions more worldwide. We’re providing these marketers the right tools to get more traffic, leads and better ROI [return on investment] via inbound marketing campaigns that people truly love. Opening this office will scale that up significantly, providing an exhilarating opportunity for the talented folks who join HubSpot Dublin.”

Barry O’Leary, chief executive of investment agency IDA Ireland, comments: “The decision by HubSpot to locate a new EMEA headquarters in Ireland further enhances Ireland’s reputation as the internet capital of Europe.”

HubSpot serves nearly 8,000 customers in 56 countries, and the Dublin office is its first-ever branch office.
