Healthcare recruiter Mayday Healthcare has topped the Sunday Times Profit Track 100.
Mayday Healthcare, shortlisted in the best public sector recruitment agency category at last week’s Recruiter Awards for Excellence, sponsored by Innovate CV, and ranked 4th in Recruiter’s Hot 100, was not the only recruiter to make the list.
IT Human Resources, 8th in Recruiter’s Fast 50 and shortlisted in the best technical recruitment agency category at last week’s awards, ranked 10th in the list.
Mentor IMC Group, 6th in Recruiter’s Fast 50, was 15th in the list, while Morgan Law, 1st in Recruiter’s Hot 100 and 16th in the Fast 50, came in at 44.
Maxxima, 21st in the Fast 50, was 65th; Air Energi was 71st; and A4E, shortlisted in the most effective brand development category at Recruiter’s Awards, was 83rd in the list.
Mayday Healthcare co-founder Charles Safapour told Recruiter: “We are astounded that we have achieved so much in so little time. Myself and my business partner started the business in late 2003. We are a last minute provider to the healthcare sector. We have reached out to different regions of the UK and now provide different specialities, not only nurses, but healthcare workers and doctors. We also staff the industrial sector into the NHS.
“We won a prestigious contract in recent months and are looking to expand, to double the company in the next two years.”
Sean Gallagher, managing director IT Human Resources, told Recruiter the company’s 10th place ranking was testament to the way it continued to stick to its founding principles.
“We don’t just chase after quantity just because it looks good,” says Gallagher. “Whereas some organisations might find it attractive to have 1,000 contractors out at a 6% margin, we focus on quality and get the rewards of a quality business.”
