McCall eyes international expansion

Rec-to-rec specialist McCall is planning to expand to a number of international locations, including the Middle & Far East, South-East Asia, Australia & Europe.

Rec-to-rec specialist McCall is planning to expand to a number of international locations, including the Middle & Far East, South-East Asia, Australia & Europe.

Joint managing director Julie O’Neill told Recruiter: “The time, and global market, is right now to embark on an expansion programme in the coming months initially in Singapore and Australia – but other locations, such as Hong Kong, are also to be considered.

“The recruitment market is becoming more global on a daily basis – we launched McCall International four years ago in reaction to the demand from clients both in the UK wanting to be abroad and from those already abroad, plus candidates wanting to re-locate.  Now more than ever it is pertinent to expand this from a UK base; the most relevant way is by re-creating the McCall success ‘on the ground’.

“It isn’t necessary to have an office in every major UK town, but it definitely strengthens client and candidate relationships to have international offices so we can assimilate the local cultural requirements and penetrate the market fully. We believe there is a real demand across all levels from trainees, through billers and managers to senior director level appointments.”
