Recruiters exploring how they can integrate mobile phones and other handheld devices into the recruitment process will be encouraged by recent research by global analyst IDC that says the mobile phone market will continue to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 6.9% between now and 2011. Last year a record one billion handsets were shipped. Further research out by IDC predicts that the global market for e-commerce spending will pass $10 trillion by 2010.
