Scottish employers have continued to add to headcount albeit at a more modest pace, according to October’s Bank of Scotland PMI (Purchasing Managers’ Index) from Markit.
Scottish employers have continued to add to headcount albeit at a more modest pace, according to October’s Bank of Scotland PMI (Purchasing Managers’ Index) from Markit.
The headline seasonally adjusted Bank of Scotland PMI posted 49.9 in October, only fractionally below the 50 no-change threshold, and little-changed from 49.8 in September.
The seasonally adjusted Employment Index has pointed to growing staffing numbers in eight of the past nine months, though the latest increase in employment was modest.
