Morrisey to manage BBC talent for 2012

BBC Vision productions talent executive Daniell Morrisey has been appointed talent & engagement manager for BBC London 2012.

Morrisey’s team is responsible for co-ordinating the BBC’s coverage for the major events of 2012, culminating in the Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Morrisey was previously talent executive for BBC Children’s and talent business manager for Vision Productions, the BBC’s in-house production arm encompassing drama, entertainment, factual and multiplatform programming.

Working with the skills & HR director, we will be developing a staff and community engagement strategy as well as attracting the best talent including building on our successful Apprentices scheme

Morrisey said: “People are at the heart of delivering the creative ambitions of BBC London 2012. Culminating in the Olympic Games, 2012 will be a year like no other. My role will be to support the central team who are responsible for the strategy and planning of the BBC’s coverage.”
