Collins joins Kinsey Allen in non-exec role
Executive search firm Kinsey Allen International has appointed Denise Collis as a non-executive director.

Collis was most recently group HR director at private equity firm 3i, and before that a partner and head of UK HR at Ernst & Young and group HR head at Standard Chartered Bank. She will continue her work as an advisory board member to both Leeds and Exeter University business schools.

Ken Brotherston, chief executive of Kinsey Allen International, says: “Denise brings a wealth of strategic HR and business expertise from a range of global businesses. Her experience at organisations such as 3i, Ernst & Young and Standard Chartered has given her an extremely valuable perspective that will help us deliver strategies that enhance the service our clients receive.”

HR business solutions provider Kenexa has appointed Kevin Horigan as president of global HR technology. Horigan, former senior vice-president at SAP, also held executive leadership positions at PeopleSoft, OutlookSoft, Sand Technology Systems and Oracle Corporation. He will be responsible for the division’s overall strategy and operational execution.

US recruiter Stateside Solutions has hired Jennifer Scanlon as vice-president for business development, based at its New York office. Scanlon joins from Enterprise Ireland, the trade and technology board of the government of Ireland, where she helped Irish companies with their US market entry strategy and to generate business opportunities in the North American market.

Industrial and driving recruitment agency Red Eagle has promoted Will Cotter to operations director.

Helen Porter has been appointed team manager -retail operations, at retail recruiter Elite Associates. Porter previously worked as retail staffing director at iD Staffing and team manager - retail temporary staffing at Freedom Recruitment.

Hospitality executive search firm Isis has appointed Jill Beeson as a director. Beeson has worked in executive search since 1995 focusing on the hospitality, retail and leisure sectors, managing assignments across a broad range of disciplines at middle and senior management and board level.

Steve Smith has been appointed by financial consultants Mercer as UK head of HR, based in London. Smith joins from Alliance Trust, where he was head of HR for the past five years.

Tax accountant and support services provider Brookson has made several appointments to its senior management team. Chris Bowden has been appointed sales and marketing director. Bowden joins from FedEx, where he managed multinational global accounts including Rolls-Royce, Microsoft, Dell and HP. Sandi Rowley, the new head of group marketing, joins from Alliance and Leicester commercial banking. Andrew Sloan joins as head of new business and will be responsible for encouraging Brookson’s business growth.

Travel recruiter New Frontiers Recruitment has appointed Sean Jeddaoui as business development manager.

Sockwell Partners, a US-based retained executive search firm, has promoted Elizabeth Denton to managing director. Since joining Sockwell Partners as a consultant in 2005, Denton has completed nearly 100 search assignments for companies in the financial services, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate and not-for-profit sectors.

The national sales team of multi-sector recruiter HR GO Recruitment has made several new appointments. It has appointed two regional sales managers, Lee Mansell and Jannan Sourani, with a third in the pipeline, to work with the joint venture managing directors to helpco-ordinate sales activity and deliver regional sales.
