NHS PASA allays recruiters’ fears over framework agreement

Recruiters who spend a lot of time, effort and money on tendering for a scrapped framework agreement will not have to start all over again when tendering for the replacement framework agreement, NH

Recruiters who spend a lot of time, effort and money on tendering for a scrapped framework agreement will not have to start all over again when tendering for the replacement framework agreement, NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA) has told Recruiter.

As reported by Recruiter yesterday, the original framework agreement for the supply of non-medical, non-clinical temporary and fixed-term staff, such as admin, finance, HR, IT, drivers and HR was scrapped only weeks before the successful agencies were due to be announced.

In a statement, PASA says: “It is not NHS PASA’s intention to significantly change the requirement in the new tender. There should not be any significant additional work for suppliers to re-submit a bid.

“NHS PASA will re-start the procurement process for the non-medical, non-clinical staffing framework which was due to be launched in April. This is to ensure that the procurement process complies with the fundamental principles of non-discrimination and transparency.

“To assist all potential bidders for the new tender NHS PASA will be hosting two information events on 12 May in Chester and 14 May in Swindon.”
