NPA looks for global firms
Recruitment network NPA Worldwide is on the hunt for globally-minded UK recruiters to add to its present half a dozen members in the country.
With headquarters in the US, NPA is a global recruiting network that aims to increase members’ candidate placements through collaborating on split-fee arrangements. NPA claims to have delivered a 750% annual return on investment to individual members.
NPA has had exposure to the UK market through its partnership with The Employment Agents Movement [TEAM]. While saying TEAM does “a very good job” and acknowledging that NPA still sought to expand its relationship with the UK organisation, NPA president Dave Nerz told Recruiter that he hoped to grow NPA’s influence in the UK and Europe-wide even further.
“We’re looking for firms who want to do business in Dubai, want to do business in Hong Kong, want to do business in Rio de Janeiro — so we’re looking for people who are doing some percentage of their business outside of the UK.”
Nerz noted one particular challenge for growing the UK membership: “We have been able to grow in a lot of cases around the world by referral…We’ve found it’s more difficult to get referrals from our UK members.”
As for any concerns that recruiters might find it a challenge to work across national borders and cultural differences, Nerz commented: “On the one hand there’s need, and on the other hand there’s desire — one recruiter needs something and the other one has a desire to help because they can get a financial return for it, so they tend to get worked through pretty quickly.”
Under NPA guidelines, the NPA trading partner who received the job order/assignment from the client company keeps 47.5% of the client fee when paid and sends 47.5% to the NPA trading partner who supplied the candidate. The remaining 5% of the client fee — 2.5% from each trading partner — is sent to NPA headquarters.
