Jim Albert (pictured left) is the new managing director for recruitment giant Adecco UK & Ireland’s IT and engineering brands, which include Modis International, Spring, Computer People, Roevin and Glotel. The former president and managing director at Modis International’s remit has been extended to include the firm’s technology brands following Aidan Anglin’s move to FiveTen (see above).

Global CV platform Innovate CV has appointed Jim Knight (Rt Hon Lord Knight of Weymouth), shadow employment minister, as associate director. Knight was previously schools minister in the last Labour government, as well as serving as rural affairs minister and employment minister. He was made a life peer in the Dissolution Honours List following the election.

Multi-sector recruiter JAM has appointed founder and former chief executive of Harvey Nash, David Higgins (pictured right), as non-executive director. Higgins stepped down from Harvey Nash last year.

Executive search firm Kinsey Allen International has appointed Marc KarimBaloch as head of fixed income, Asia. Baloch will focus on the Asian fixed income market and will recruit across credit, trading, sales and structuring across Hong Kong and Singapore.

Korn/Ferry International, a global provider of talent management solutions, has appointed Katie Lahey as managing director, Australia and New Zealand. The current chief executive of the Business Council of Australia (BCA), Lahey will assume her new role at Korn/Ferry in the new year, following nearly a decade as CEO at the BCA.

Online recruitment specialists networx has recruited Stephen Wallace, Andrew Briault and Paul McMurtrie to client relations managers. McMurtrie will aim to help support and extend the current client base in Birmingham, while Wallace will focus on businesses within Sussex, Portsmouth, Southampton and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, Briault will cover Peterborough, Coventry and Northampton.

US executive search firm Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson has appointed Dr Harvey W Schiller to the newly-created position of vice-chairman and president of the Sports Media and Entertainment Practice. Most recently Dr Schiller has been chairman of the board and chief executive of GlobalOptions Group, a multidisciplinary international risk management and business solutions company.

Global executive search firm Transearch International has appointed Jan Kovar managing partner of its Prague office. Kovar has worked for several multi-nationals such as Kraft Foods, Èokoádovny/COPART (Danone, Nestlé), Levi Strauss and SCA in several executive positions in logistics, marketing, sales and operational areas.

Volt’s European staffing business unit of Volt Information Sciences has promoted Richard Herring (pictured left) to managing director. Herring will be responsible for Volt’s staffing operations in Europe and South-East Asia and replaces Stephanie Elliott, who has decided to pursue other interests.

Global life sciences executive search and interim management specialist RSA has appointed Zaki Sellam as practice leader in Switzerland.

Financial services executive advisory and search firm Veni Partners has appointed Julia Gallop as chief operating officer and Anna Marietta as principal. Gallop was previously a partner at Whitehead Mann and Marietta spent four years at Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann as senior associate.
