Prezzo will be looking to internal talent to help fill around 250 new roles at 20 new locations, according to a spokesperson for the Pizza restaurant chain.

The group announced that it would be opening 20 locations this year, including the acquisition of six Café Uno restaurants

The spokesperson told Recruiter that he estimated there would be 10 to 12 new people hired at each restaurant, amounting to about 250 jobs.

“If we are taking people from other restaurants we will have to recruit new people. We don’t have big recruitment days – recruitment is ongoing.

“We tend to promote from within our organisation. A lot of our recruitment is done through existing networks and existing senior people in the company, and the contacts they have. People work their way up through the team at existing restaurants and more senior people at other restaurants will move across to the new ones – that is the way it works.

“The jobs will be in a range of locations across the UK. There will be a couple more in Scotland, we will probably go into Manchester and around the South East as well.”
