Clearstone Training and Recruitment, the LGV specialist, has been acquired by private equity firm RCapital in an undisclosed deal.

Clearstone chief executive Paul Jacobs, who joined the company in October 2006 from Office Angels, told Recruiter that he is "still engaged with the company" and that there are "big plans" for the business.

The investment made by RCapital has been provided by way of debt and equity.

Jamie Constable, founder and chief executive of RCapital, said in a statement: "Clearstone already has the right elements for an extremely successful future but has lacked the financial strategy to realise its goals. We believe this management team can fully realise the business ambitions and we look forward to working with them to achieve this."
