QuietAgent delivers career options
Kerr: more analysis tools for candidates to compare CV’s
Jobseekers are being encouraged to look at alternative career options using new tools from QuietAgent, a US-based online service which allows individuals to anonymously look for a job and delivers anonymous shortlists to recruiters.
Although QuietAgent doesn’t officially launch in the UK until next year, its fourth largest pool of candidates already comes from the UK and 36 UK recruiters are using the service.
Using the new Career Profile Dashboard, jobseekers can see their skills and qualities in the context of jobs for which they wouldn’t otherwise consider. A CV quality indicator will also show how various areas of their resume could be improved to compete with the best jobseekers using QuietAgent.
Jason Kerr, chief executive of QuietAgent, told Recruiter that with more jobseekers applying for fewer jobs, it is part of a suite of tools designed to expand opportunities for candidates and help put recruiters in touch with more qualified candidates.
“The next stage is to provide more analysis tools for a candidate to discover why they are not being found and generate a way to signal to employers that they are out there,” he explained. “For instance, we are now developing tools so that a candidate can compare their CV to that of their peers who are continually getting matched ahead of them.”
Kathryn Haynes is a USbased contract recruiter who regularly uses the service. She told Recruiter: “I found a candidate who had the competencies needed for the job but had not done the role in the sector space,” she said. “He was eventually appointed and it has worked out exceptionally well. I’ve been a recruiter for 15 years and I don’t think traditional recruiting tools would have allowed me to find him.”
She added: “Previously our tools were the job boards, cold calling, referrals and corporate databases. There can be huge wastage in corporate spend on recruitment because of factors such as poorly written and structured job descriptions and we’re ready to be revolutionised.”
