Representatives of some of recruitment’s biggest names were appointed to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) board at the trade body’s Annual General Meeting last week.

Corporate members appointed, and in some cases reappointed, to the board last week were: Jeff Brooks, Primesourcing; Kim-Marie Freeston, Lifeline Personnel; Chris Kenny, Levy Associates; Steven Kirkpatrick, Adecco; Peter Searle, Spring Group (pictured right); Fred van der Tang, Randstad.

Individual directors appointed were Bob Wicks and John Rowley.

The new and re-appointments join chairman Gary Irvine of Diamond Recruitment, Angela Masters of A + A Recruitment, Peter Cullimore of Universal Care, Susan Cranie of Careplan Specialist Services, Stephen Hill of Hill McGlynn, Neil Smith of Kinetic, Richard Sowerby of the Sowerby Group, Teresa Swann of Swann Personnel, Brian Wilkinson of Vedior (pictured left) and Ian Wolter of Eden Brown on the board.

Directors who resigned over the year were Sarah Anderson, Richard Barfield, Roger Englefield, Tina Mason, Sandra Robertson, Helen Stokes, Graham John Smith and David Winterburn.
