REC extends deadline for qualifications review comments

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is to extend the deadline for its qualifications review consultation until 11 August.

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is to extend the deadline for its qualifications review consultation until 11 August.

This is to allow those working within recruitment and other sectors such as HR to have a chance to make their comments which will help the REC’s Academy for Business shape its official qualifications to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry.

Since May, the REC has sought the opinions of REC and IRP members and non-members alike.

Judith Armatage, the REC’s director of professional development, says: “We have been delighted with the level of support the review has been given from hundreds of recruiters representing various industry sectors, levels of experience and differing perspectives.

“This review is about helping recruiters to understand and deliver real added value to their agencies, clients and candidates. The practical input we have received so far has already proved invaluable in helping us shape a qualifications programme for the future.”
