Recruiter award

Kate Bleasdale is entrepreneur of the year

Kate Bleasdale has once again been named Entrepreneur of the Year at the AiM Awards.

Kate Bleasdale, chief executive of healthcare recruiter HCL, won the award at the London Stock Exchange’s AiM Awards dinner.

Bleasdale, a former nurse, set up her first medical recruitment agency, Pulse Staffing in 1986. It eventually became the second largest healthcare recruiter in the country. Bleasdale then started HCL in 2003 and the staffing firm now has a turnover of around £150m.

Kate Bleasdale said: “This award is a reflection of what HCL has achieved in only five years and is down to the dedication and hard work of the whole team.”
