Recruiter confidence rises
With a report this week claiming that business confidence has reached its highest level in four years, recruiters have also reported rising levels of confidence.
Following the Business Trends survey from accountants BDO which reported confidence and output were back at pre-recession levels, Peter Searle, chief executive Adecco Group UK & Ireland, (left) told Recruiter that the firm’s experience echoes this.
“Job market is showing signs of revival across every sector, but this is strongest in engineering, healthcare and finance. Specialist recruitment agencies, such as those within the Adecco Group, make the recruitment process more streamlined and efficient, saving our clients time and helping them focus their resources where needed.
“Smart recruitment practice is vital for companies coming out of the recession if they are to grow. Because of this we are already seeing a higher demand for our services across the group and are confident this trend is set to grow.”
Ross Eades, chief executive at Kellan Group, adds: “We have started 2010 with a much stronger performance than 2009 and we are optimistic that our revenues will continue to grow. We have always been of a mind that it is vital to capture market share during difficult times. With a focus on this during 2009, we are confident that we are poised for growth.
“The forthcoming year will, however, continue to challenge the wider recruitment sector and cash liquidity remains a key issue for the business. There are some signs that banks are cautiously re-entering the market and we anticipate this will increase the working capital available to our clients, some of which we hope will be diverted to recruitment.”
