Recruiters excel at Queen’s Awards

A number of recruiters have been recognised at the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

A number of recruiters have been recognised at the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

Scottish recruiter, Orion Group, won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the international trade category, while telecommunications recruiter First Point Group was recognised in the engineering sector and Women Like Us which supports women with children in returning to work and employers to source experienced part-time staff, also picked up an award.


The awards recognise and reward outstanding achievement in international trade and for innovation and sustainable development.

Alan Savage, chairman of Orion Group, says: “It’s a tremendous honour to be given a Queen’s Award. Our team of 300 staff across the world, take great pride in the quality of service we offer our clients, and this award is testament to their hard work and dedication.

“It’s been a major business objective for us to grow our overseas offering. In the past eight years we’ve opened 14 new offices both in the UK and abroad, and have succeeded in winning major contracts from blue-chip companies.”
