The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has been awarded the title of the UK’s Trade Association of the Year by the Trade Association Forum.

Helen Reynolds, the REC’s acting chief executive officer, says: “This accolade is a tribute to all the hard working staff at the organisation and especially Marcia Roberts, who sadly had to step down as chief executive earlier this year, but who was instrumental in bringing us all up to this outstanding level.

“This award shows that the REC is providing an exemplary service to its members and will further our reputation as one of the most groundbreaking, innovative associations to join.”

The judges praised the REC for its work, its professionalism and persuasive crusading campaigning within the sector. They also noted its important work on legal issues as well as furthering membership numbers. 

The trade association also picked up the award for the Best Membership Pack.
