A ground-breaking new "jobs pledge" aimed at finding job opportunities for local people currently on benefits has been signed by Jobcentre Plus and Randstad.

Randstad are one of the first employers in the West Midlands to have given a commitment to offer guaranteed job interviews for people who have been on benefits and are ready to work, as part of the government's 'In Work, Better Off: next steps to full employment' Green Paper.

Randstad's Mark Leet says: "It is always satisfying to help people get back into work. I am delighted that we are leading by example and pledging our support to this scheme. I hope other local companies will join us. By working together we can give more opportunities to people, to help build a prosperous and cohesive region."
